Music Culture and Education Major

From the 2024 academic year, our Music Culture and Education Major will substantially expand its academic content and faculty. By studying music from various perspectives, students acquire a large stock of general knowledge and become capable music entrepreneurs who can shape the future in various fields of society. Performance courses are elective, and students can work on their performance and academics at the same time.

Teaching Methods

In addition to conventional lectures, this major offers group work courses for more independent and technical learning. Examples of the classes are as follows: small-class seminars geared toward graduation theses; project-based courses that include off-campus hands-on projects and computer-based creative projects; workshops that involve performances, etc. Furthermore, we plan collaborative projects with neighboring communities, science museums, medical institutions, etc. By cooperating with different types of fields and businesses, students are exposed to the dynamism of music culture while acquiring a wide education.
