Instrumental Major – Strings

Students pursue the beautiful and rich sounds unique to stringed instruments while seeking to understand styles of music, composers’ intentions, and how to express them with sensitivity and knowledge. In addition, students develop their aural skills, cooperate with others, and cultivate a sense of solidarity in ensembles and other classes.

• Private lessons are held once a week.
• Students learn the fundamentals of ensembles in Orchestra Ensemble and Chamber Music (Strings), which are first- and second-year requirements.
• Students have opportunities to take extension lessons and lectures by invited musicians from Japan and abroad.
