On November 3, 2024, 3 exchange students gave a concert at the 60th TCM Art Festival.
Mariona Socoró Martínez and Gala Zhen Gil Conches from Liceu Conservatory in Spain performed 4 Spanish pieces on the viola and the classical guitar. They also talked about Spanish food, the culture shocks they experienced in Japan, and a natural disaster in Valencia.
Mason Siu Wai Ma from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK performed his composition “Pastel” from Palettes, for violin solo “the Young Man and the Sea”.
He gave a speech in Japanese on Japanese composers, his composition style, and his hometown Hong Kong. The concert was a success, and more than 200 people enjoyed their performances.
